BlakeLee built an amazing custom home for us in 2011. We could not have been happier with the results and with their service. We brought them our own rough drawings and they took care of the whole process of getting those plans drawn up and detailed out for us. Jimmy really listened to us and give us the details we wanted while lending his expert advice. When we came across any issues, he always helped us work them out with the subs to meet our needs. Jimmy was on site frequently verifying that the construction was being done the right way. I’m proud to say that his work is holding up well and has not disappointed with time. Over the last few years he has even called to check on us a few times and has come over to adjust a few doors that had shifted with the weather or to take care of other minor issues that popped up. Where else are you going to get ongoing care and service like that? We have also had good ongoing service from the subs that he chose. Annette was wonderful to work with on the financial side and always had everything clearly documented out for us. You know that old saying “You get what you pay for”? With BlakeLee, I feel like we got more than what we paid for. If we ever built again, we would definitely choose them as our builder.

We heard horrifying stories about the custom building process – 30% budget overages, subcontractor issues, quality control issues, etc., - but had a great experience with Blakelee! Jimmy McDonald and BlakeLee Builders built a beautiful home for us. Jimmy provided impeccable supervision while the home was being built. His sub-contractors were extremely professional and the best in what they do. Even if we wanted something unusual, they worked to make it happen and made suggestions for touches that we hadn’t considered. Any concern we had was resolved immediately and Jimmy was so very patient with our indecision at times! Jimmy provided superior support for any follow up that was needed after our home was built, including several years later completely redoing a garage door step that he believed was unsafe for us at this time in our lives—at no cost to us! Jimmy’s integrity is above reproach; his Christian ethics were extremely important to us. We trust him implicitly. Best of all, we became great friends after home was built. After twelve years of living in our home, we wouldn’t change a thing and we definitely would have them build another home us.
